International cultural exchange have declined
"International cultural exchanges in the performing arts-a divided story" says a report that Svensk Scenkonst (Swedish Performing Arts) has just presented. Dagens Nyheter concludes: "Internationalization has been high on the political agenda of culture, especially during the past year. In addition, international cultural exchange is one of the cultural policy objectives. Despite this, appropriations from the State for this purpose has declined over the past five years, and authorities have little overview of the performing arts needs. This is shown by a poll which Svensk Scenkonst made from among its members. The organization proposes that the new agency for cultural analysis should evaluate the objective of promoting intercultural exchanges ".
