Time for fest in the land of the midnight sun
When the summer night is bright and the north displays its most beautiful scenery the Festival of Piteå celebrates 31! Here thrive all kinds of musical expression. From 14-18 June, you can experience the yoik with Anja Storelv Band at Piteälven, ferry cruise and irish music by Quilty, Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra in the green with Uno Svenningsson and Anders Berglund, Orgel Acusticum, world premiere music by Nils Lindberg and as always: master classes and workshops!
On Tuesday June 11 the Festival opened in Studio Acusticum with Music, meetings, common humanity - an open, free lecture on El Sistema – award-winning philosophy where the music becomes a powerful tool for democracy, participation and innanförskap.
