Vincent Baudriller to Head EFFE's International Festival Jury
The President for the International Festival Jury, the body that will guide the Europe for Festivals – Festivals for Europe – EFFE process and select the EFFE Festival Award recipients, has just been confirmed and will be Vincent Baudriller. Mr. Baudriller is the current Director of the Théâtre Vidy Lausanne in Switzerland. He was the Director of the Avignon Festival from 2004 to 2013 together with Hortense Archambault. He is a truly talented leader in the festival world and will add a high-level profile to both EFFE as a platform and the EFFE Festival Awards.
The International Festival Jury will be composed of 13 members set up to steer EFFE and the EFFE Festival Label and more specifically make the final selection for the EFFE Festival Award. Mr. Baudriller will now work with the EFFE Co-Directors Kathrin Deventer and Hugo De Greef to select the remaining jury members from diverse backgrounds such as artists, media professionals, academics, business leaders, young festival managers, European political leaders, and beyond.
Mr. Baudriller will lead this group through the selection process to select the winners of the EFFE Festival Award that will be announced in autumn 2015. But even more importantly, the jury will not only select trend-setting festivals but will discuss the role of these current good practices and will provide a commentary on the values of festivals in Europe today. The jury will jointly publish their analyses, views and recommendations on the current and future festival landscape.
