Festivalmeeting made great progress

During two intensive days 12-13 October, 27 delegates from Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Faroe Islands, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (Denmark and Greenland was absent this time) fmet to develop and concretize the future collaboration between festivals in the Nordic-Baltic area. The meeting included the first presentation of FESTudy - the largest European study of festivals ever done -  by Lluis Bonet from University of Barcelona..

This, the 2nd Nordic-Baltic meeting of festivals made great progress. From, Reykjavik 2011, where the first presentations and discussions where held, the Stockholm meeting focused on concrete collaboration. A working group to propose both form and content was established and it was decided, based on a Latvian invitation to have the next meeting in Riga 19-21 February 2013. Towards the end of 2013, FESTudy plan to finally publicize and present the European study during a seminar in Lille, France.

Festivals are looking at an exiting 2013.
