Sweden Festival's "National Festival Meeting - The Sweden Festival" will in 2024 take place in Umeå at Umeå Folkets Hus. Now it's time for the Northern part of Sweden and Umeå is renown for its festivals, especially the Umeå Jazz Festival who is one of our member festivals and has been involved in previous collaborations. The meeting consists of two parts, a conference part where current topics are presented in seminars where festivals talk about their experiences, the European Festivals Association gives an international insight and updates us about EFFEA a Creative Europe project that highlights "Emerging Artists" in collaboration with festivals. Cultural political issues affecting concert organizers and festivals are also an important element. The Sweden Festival is a mini-festival Fri-Sun with a showcase program curated together with some member festivals, which guarantees high artistic quality and curiosity. We also collaborate with Norrlandsoperan and Umeå Municipality. The Sweden Festivals is organized by Sweden Festivals during the National Festival Meeting in Umeå 19-21 April 2024. Partners are MAIS (Music Organizers in Collaboration), Umeå Jazz Festival with Umeå Folket Hus, Norrlandsoperan, Moggliden AB, Umeå Jazz Studio, Umeå Chamber Music and the European Festivals Association. The concerts are produced in collaboration with some of our member festivals. Support has been received from the Swedish Cultural Council's Creative Europe grant.
