Summermusic Lundsberg
The chamber music week Summermusic Lundsberg takes place every year in the beginning of July presenting a variety of music styles to a varied audience. The next edition takes place 6-13 July 2024. Its focus is on the, for a Swedish school, unique organ as well as on young professional musicians from Sweden and abroad. The concerts are presented live and livestream. An Art and applied arts & crafts exhibition and a café hosting entertainment, Summer by the Stream, are other activities during the festival.
The Association Sommarmusik på Lundsberg
The chamber music festival Summermusic Lundsberg is organised by a non-profit association. Several board members are ‘home-comers’ with roots in Lundsberg and in East Värmland. Lundsberg lies at the far south end of the scenic Lake Hållsjön in the municipality of Storfors. This is the place of Sweden’s oldest boarding school, founded 1896 by William Olsson. Before that time and from 17th century, there was a manor house with its mill at the waterfall, Matlångens Bruk.
