EFFE - the Swedish experts are selected!
Swedish Music Festivals (SMF) have - as the coordinator for EFFE in Sweden - appointed a group of national experts, 5 persons that after December 15 will evaluate the Swedish festivals. Experts scores festivals according to a central predetermined system and write a recommendation - together with SMF - to the international jury in Europe.
The Swedish experts are
Astrid Assefa, Chairman, film- and theater actor, singer, stage director and former Artistic Director of Dalateatern; Chairman of the Dramatic Institute's board of directors, chairman of the national orchestra investigation of 2006 and an immigrant policy expert.
Eric Sjöström, newly appointed chairman of the Swedish Choir Federation, former Manager and Artistic Director of Kulturhuset City Theatre Stockholm and Manager of Folkoperan, Stockholm.
Margareta Sörenson, journalist, author, theater- and dance critic tied to the newspaper Expressen; researcher and teacher in dance history and aesthetics; Chairman of the IATC (International Association of Theatre Critics)
Åsa Carild, International Licensing Manager at STIM, lead singer of the rock band Pineforest Crunch; former Nordic Manager of Nokia's Music Streaming Service, studied and worked with the digitizing of music and the video game industry.
Per Forsström, was among the initiaters of Swedish Music Festivals in 1988; former MD of Drottningholm Court Theatre and Norrlandsoperan in Umeå; member of the board of Perspectiv, an association counting 120 historic theaters in Europe.
