New opera for children at Drakamöllan Operafestival

First Night performance on a childrens opera at Drakamöllan Operafestival in the southern Swedish landscape of Österlen takes place outdoors on 15 and 16 August at 14 hours. Later the performance is meant to go on tour in Skåne, in Sweden and around the Nordic countries.

Kjetil the dragon is a completely new opera for children from 6 to 10 years, and for all others with a child at heart . We offer a great and genuine opera experience with live orchestra, many singers, an emotional story and fire-breathing dragons, simply everything that we associate with opera.

Far out in the Atlantic Ocean, on a tiny island, a small dragon has a secret. A genuine opera experience for children.

An opera by Andy Pape & Eva Sommestad Holten. Directed by Guido Paevatalu. Conductor: Carol Conrad. Sets and visual expression: glass artist Elna Jolom and cartoonist Vidar Cornelius. The opera is based on the books of the Kjetil the dragon and his friends by Sara Snogerup Linse and Kyrre Thalberg.
