Sweden Festivals - new orientation, new board

Swedish Music Festivals has transfered to SWEDEN Festivals and adapted to a broader membership!

From an organization for Swedish music festivals with the main task to do marketing for its members, it is now broadening its focus. The association is a cooperation and advocacy organization for Swedish festivals in all areas of the art. As we enter 2016, Sweden Festivals have new members among film- and theatre festivals and festivals with multiple cultural expressions.

"-Sweden is trailing behind Finland and Norway and the rest of Europe when it comes to recognizing the festival as an important art form. We see the festival as a growing and obvious carrier of culture in the national and local cultural offerings, "says Peter Eriksson, president of the association Sweden Festivals and artistic director of Saxå Chamber Music Festival, when he presents the organization's new platform.
