The Festival Academy - Atelier Gothenburg 2018

The Festival Academy (European Festivals Association) launches the call for application for the 14th edition of the Atelier for Young Festival Managers, taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden, 23 - 29 August 2018, hosted by and co-organised with Kultur i Väst, the cultural administration of the region Västra Götaland. Sweden Festivals has been asked to support Kultur i Väst in making the Atelier a Swedish success. The deadline is just around the corner, but Swedish participants are in demand and we will do all we can to assist you! Sweden Festivals' members get 30% discount. Up to 45 participants will be selected for the 7-day training programme during which they will discuss various aspects of festival management with some ten renowned festival managers from pioneering festivals and outstanding art centres and institutes from all over the world. 

Each Atelier is characterised by a different host city, its festivals and cultural life. The 14th edition takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden and participants will get to know the many facets of the city through local cultural players, artists and political representatives. Sessions will take place at various venues connected to the local community, hence the cultural life and context of the city will be experienced and analysed as part of the training programme.
