Under 2016 arrangerar European Festivals Association (EFA) två träningsprogram för nuvarande - i Antwerpen, Belgien, 20-23 januari 2016 - och för blivande festivalledare - i Budapest. Ungern, 2-8 juni 2016. Deadline för The Festival Production Management Training, i Belgien är 15 september och Atelier for Young Festival Managers, i Ungern redan 15 september 2015. Atelier for Young Festival Managers

The Festival Academy, an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA), extends the application deadline for the Atelier for Young Festival Managers in Budapest to give more people the chance to apply. The Atelier takes place from 2 to 8 June 2016 in Budapest, Hungary, in collaboration with the Armel Opera Festival. Ten renowned festival directors will guide 45 participants through the 7-day training programme. Young festival managers from all over the world are invited to apply until 15 September 2015.

The Atelier for Young Festival Managers is an intense 7-day training programme addressed at emerging artistic festival directors or those who have ambitions to get involved in programming or in related departments within a festival. It is about sharing experiences and passing on knowledge to the next generation of festival makers: knowledge about programming a festival, while focusing on the very essence of art festivals – the arts and the artist.

The Festival Production Management Training

will have its first edition, with Module I in Antwerp, Belgium, 20-23 January 2016. Apply by 30 September 2015.
Make use of a unique opportunity to meet colleague production managers - young and new leaders - from various festivals. Exchange innovative ideas and create partnerships with your peers. And be guided by experienced production managers. The Festival Production Management Training enables you to discover new ways of working with artists and of handling the practical side of festival management.

The Festival Production Management Training is a new format of The Festival Academy, an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA). It focuses especially on production management in terms of realising and implementing the vision of the artistic director. The training looks at the practical side of this process, with special attention given to working with artists. Participants will meet and exchange with experienced production managers and artists, including set designers, light designers, conductors, choir leaders etc. The training is set up as a long-term programme which explores all phases of producing an artistic work: a programme with 3 modules spread over a period of one or more year(s).
